Is bluesky the new twitter? A lot of my favorite artists are making accounts there. I thought Threads on Meta was the new twitter? Are images posted on bluesky compressed? What about videos/clips?

I think Bluesky is pretty much the new twitter.
I am still fairly new to the app but I really enjoy how much control I have for my feed. I can finally see so much more from people I like to follow and my friends' posts. My friend showed me there is a lot to it for the thread control and its pretty cool. I can't say much about the threads on Meta because I never used it.
The layout is similar but I feel it is because one of the original creators of Twitter is a board member for Bluesky.
My art so far have not compressed but it looks like we can't post any videos/gifs atm but I think its mostly because it being in Beta still. There will be an update soon geared for artists & content creators so I am looking forward to that. :D
